There are many stories of musical treasures that have been buried and forgotten only to be re-discovered decades later to claim the recognition that they deserve. From Kate Bush's "Running Up the Hill" to Tiffany's cover of "I Think We're Alone Now," film and television synchronization has become one of the main reasons for such musical resurrections. For Count on Me Music CEO James King III, if synch is the spotlight that will bring his father's music with Halo the Band to light, he is ready to flip that switch.

Halo The Band was formed in the 80s by James King Jr., Greg Coleman, and Karvin Johnson. Their single "Let Me Do It" was a dancefloor favorite during that time. Several notable DJs such as Soul Sam, Butch, and Keb Darge owned the rare record and spun it whenever they had the chance, making it a certified cult classic.
