In this episode of Sound Screen, host Annika Dietiker speaks with Connor O'Brien, the singer-songwriter behind one of Ireland's best indie folk acts, Villagers.  

 

Formed in 2010, Villagers stepped into the spotlight with the release of their debut album, Becoming a Jackal, which got shortlisted for a Mercury Prize and a Choice Music Prize in the UK. The band released seven more albums, two EPs, and numerous singles making them one of the most prolific groups in the UK today.

Villagers recently released a six-track instrumental EP under Domino Publishing Library/FOLD entitled "Floating on an Essence of a Dream," which is available for licensing in North America through APM Music.
